50 Powerful Prayers for Divine Speed and Advancement

Have you ever thought to yourself about your life and wondered why things or goals that should have been accomplished since are still on your goals’ paper undone.

You are working, praying, and trying to make all the right moves and decisions to make things happen and to accomplish your set goals, but they are not working, it is as if they taking an eternity. Your career keeps dragging and feeling like it has hit a block or limitation, like it is stuck at that level. A business that was supposed to be booming is still limping along, barely even started a few months ago.

Your big project never seems to get off the ground or your to-do-list, and those finances or financial opportunities and contracts that seemed so close are suddenly out of reach. And honestly, it can become frustrating to keep waiting for things or expectations to come to pass when you know you‘ve done all that you can do to make them happen and yet they haven’t happened.

That’s when you need to sit up, straighten your seat belt and pray; and that is exactly when prayers for divine speed comes in handy.

Divine speed is not about getting everything you want as quickly as possible. It‘s about helping you to get on the right track so that you can make timely progress and avoid the wrong detours.

1 Kings 18:46 says that “And the hand of the LORD was on Elijah; and he girded up his loins, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.”

Elijah didn’t run by himself. The hand of the Lord was on him. It’s important to remember that.

We pray because we need God’s help, but that does not make us off the hook for preparing, working hard and making smart choices.

God can answer your prayer for progress by opening up an opportunity, giving direction, exposing a failure, putting the right person in your path or helping you see a certain approach that needs to be changed.

There are also circumstances you can’t control. After you have prepared, applied, followed up, worked and done everything reasonably within your reach, you need God.

If you have been stuck in the slow lane in your career, business, finances or important goals, these 50 powerful prayers for divine speed and advancement will help you bring those aspects before God while looking at the practical steps to get moving.

What Is Divine Speed?

Divine speed is the divine help from God that provides you with the ability to make timely and meaningful progress according to his direction.

Divine speed is supernatural assistance from God that enables a person to make meaningful progress according to God’s purpose and timing.

Speed by itself is not always a blessing, it is not simply about doing everything quickly.

Divine speed does not mean running ahead of God. It means God gives you the grace, favor, wisdom, strength, and opportunity necessary to move forward when the appointed season arrives.

Divine speed can mean accomplishing in a short period what would normally require much longer. It can mean receiving the right information at the right time, meeting the right person, recognizing the right opportunity, recovering lost ground, or receiving grace to complete an assignment.

The goal, therefore, is not merely to proceed with speed. You need to move wisely.

Proverbs 21:5 says: “The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want.”

Scripture pairs the idea of diligence with a warning against haste. And when we pray for divine speed, we are not necessarily asking God to help us to bypass every process.

We are asking Him to prevent us from unnecessary delays, to keep us from making unwise decisions, to give us strength and guidance and help you recognize opportunities at the right time.

Psalm 90:17 gives us a lovely prayer: “And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.”

This should be part of our desire for advancement: Lord, establish the work of my hands.

Bible Verses for Divine Speed and Advancement

These Scriptures reveal something important about progress. God directs our steps, but diligence still matters. We commit our work to Him while taking responsibility for what has been placed in our hands.

That understanding protects us from treating prayer as a substitute for action.

“And the hand of the LORD was on Elijah; and he girded up his loins, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.” 1 Kings 18:46

“Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.” Amos 9:13

“For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.” Psalm 75:6 to 7

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.” Psalm 37:23

“Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.” Proverbs 16:3

“I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.” Psalm 32:8

“Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.” Proverbs 22:29

“And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.” Psalm 90:17

“For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” Habakkuk 2:3

“The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.” Deuteronomy 28:12

Sometimes God allows a process to build your character, faith, wisdom, and capacity. There are also times when you must fight unnecessary delays through prayer, wisdom, obedience, and spiritual warfare.

The Bible says, “And it came to pass at the time of evening, that there came a rain of fire and hail, and the LORD cast his hand upon Elijah, and he hasted, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel” (1 Kings 18:46, KJV).

Elijah experienced supernatural speed because the hand of the Lord came upon him.

I remember hearing the testimony of someone who had waited for years for an opportunity. It never seemed to come. Then all of the sudden, a number of doors seem to open almost simultaneously. It was as if years of waiting yielded a season of remarkable movement.

One opportunity can lead to the next. One divine connection can change your career path. One decision can bring an end to a cycle that has stretched on for years. One door can usher you into a completely new season.

God can speed up what has been delayed without missing His purpose for you.

These 50 powerful prayers for divine speed and advancement are written to help you pray concerning stagnation, delayed opportunities, repeated setbacks, career advancement, business growth, financial progress, divine connections, open doors, restoration, and movement into your next season.

Pray with faith, but also understanding. Ask God not only to move you quickly but also to make you ready for the place He is taking you.
