50 Powerful Prayers for breakthrough and Success

There is hardly anyone on this earth that does not want to succeed or attain a certain height in this life. Everyone wants to have a successful life. However, in the Christian life, there are many pitfalls that hinder one’s progress, which sometimes make us wonder if God really hears or answers our prayers.

And if we check very well, 70% of Christians are being held back, not by lack of talents or effort, but by discouragement, delays, and determination to resist that seems to come in that moment when you are almost at your destination. Many who have been through such transitions testify that prayer has been the key to their deliverance. Not necessarily because everything literally changed, but because the direction of their life changed and their God’s peace and wisdom carried them through.

These fifty prayers are written to help you pray with faith and understanding. Because you need to, of a necessity, understand the fact that true success is not measured by material wealth or the clapping of hands. But begins with a life lived according to God’s will while remaining faithful despite the difficulties.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11

God’s thoughts toward you are always good and to both His and your advantage. The desired end that He has in mind for you is not failure or discouragement. But hope and advancement in His will, that is what He desires for your life. Moreover, before we start praying, let us look at what Scripture has to say about breakthrough and success.

What Does God’s Word Say About Breaktrough?

Breakthrough is not a new idea, neither is this the first time you are hearing or seeing it. God’s Word shows and portrays it as a decisive act of God in which He removes obstacles, creates new opportunities, or brings a significant change in a person’s life that human effort alone could never produce. Here are a few examples:

• God opened the Red Sea so the Israelites could escape what looked like an impossible situation (Exodus 14).
• The walls of Jericho fell after Israel obeyed God’s instructions and trusted His promise (Joshua 6).
• Hannah received the answer to her prayer after years of waiting (1 Samuel 1).
• Peter was released from prison while the church prayed earnestly for him (Acts 12).
• Paul taught repeatedly that God gives strength, wisdom, and opportunities to those who trust Him.

Each account reveals to us that God can change situations that are beyond human control.

Success From God’s Perspective

When people talk about success, they often mean money and fame. But, it’s not as if they are not correct because these and many other things can bring success and prosperity. However, the Bible also speaks of success. According to the Bible, success means:

• Developing a close relationship with God.
• Living according to Scripture.
• Cultivating a personality and character.
• Being faithful in fulfilling duties.
• Helping and serving other people.
• Being prosperous in the Lord and bringing Him glory
• Living according to the book of instruction and receiving divine help and advice.

Joshua 1:8 connects success with obedience to God’s Word:

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Joshua 1:8

Lasting success is built on a life shaped by God’s truth, not only on ambition.
